Guiding you through thorough safeguarding solutions tailored to your needs.

Learning & Development

I offer a bespoke learning courses that are tailored to equip your staff with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to work with the people you serve to help them to be safer.

Training is available in both virtual and physical classrooms and as a modular course. This offers participants time to absorb the learning and embed theory into practice before learning another subject.

From frontline workers to senior leadership, I provide workshops and training sessions tailored to various roles within your organisation. Topics covered include domestic abuse, modern slavery, Prevent, child exploitation, safer recruitment, and how to respond to disclosures of abuse. I also train staff on safeguarding legislation, information sharing, and making effective referrals. My training programmes are designed to be practical and interactive, ensuring your team can confidently apply safeguarding practices in real-world situations. To support the learning in transferring form theory into practice, I recommend a reflective practice session around four to six weeks after.

Reflective Practice
Case Reviews

Reflective practice is an invaluable tool for professionals involved in safeguarding. At Safer Consultancy, I facilitate reflective practice sessions that allow staff at all levels to critically assess their safeguarding work in a supportive environment. These sessions encourage reflection on complex cases, decision-making processes, and emotional responses, helping professionals gain deeper insights and improve future practice. By creating a safe space for reflection, I aim to enhance professional growth, support well-being, and strengthen safeguarding outcomes.

I can support in conducting thorough and objective case reviews, including serious safeguarding incidents, root cause analyses, and statutory reviews such as Domestic Homicide Reviews, Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews, and Rapid Reviews. My experience in leading and advising on these reviews ensures that they are conducted with professionalism, transparency, and adherence to regulatory standards. I work closely with your organisation to understand the context, identify lessons learned, and provide practical recommendations for improving future safeguarding practice. Whether it's a high-profile case or an internal review, my goal is to help your organisation respond effectively and prevent future incidents.
